Case Study
Child Care for Every Family Network
The Child Care for Every Family Network (“the Network”) is working to advance state and federal investments in child care. Improving our nation’s child care infrastructure will have dramatically positive impacts on economic equity for women, who continue to disproportionately shoulder caregiving burdens, and their families. The Network seeks a transformed national system that results in universal access to high-quality, equitable, culturally responsive, publicly-funded child care across the country; with a diverse, well-paid, well-supported workforce. The Child Care for Every Family Network is also supporting state campaign capacity and state-to-national power-building strategies in inclusive and strategic ways. This year’s state campaign cohort includes: Ohio, New York, California, Minnesota, Louisiana, Oregon, New Mexico, and Maine. By winning major victories at the state level, the Network will build momentum for a national win and test models that could be incorporated into a national approach.
